Since 2018, our Child Headed Households Program has provided crucial interventions to more than 1,000 children living without the care and support of a parent or guardian in Malawi and Uganda.
Thanks to your support, 670 vulnerable children living as part of 180 households trained with the program in 2023, developing a platform from which to thrive and skills to fall back on in difficult times.
By connecting with a trained guardian, launching a business, and starting their own food garden and livestock projects, this extremely vulnerable young population made significant progress to address the immediate and longer-term challenges that they face, working towards a safe and sustainable future.
